An Update

I've not published any updates the last month - for a good reason. Instead of simulating the market, I have been busy participating in the real thing. Twenty four young and promising individuals from my city, all with different backgrounds and talents, have come together and formed a company. Three of us run the investment part of the firm, which I take big pride in being a part of. We are basically two very strong and totally different individuals who constantly disagree, plus a former soldier who now serves as the peace corps of our portfolio team. I like this structure a lot, as it constantly highlights my weaknesses (before the market reveals them.)

Apart from this, I will go to Harvard this summer and study web design. I may want to develop the Friendonomy, but haven't decided at this point.

Further I have come to realize that I thrive better in a real business setting than working with theorization and academia. Introverted thought experiments may give me shelter during times of stress but nothing makes me thrive more than the constant challenges, battles and need for on-the-fly decision making of real business, and the financial market in particular.

I still love writing and philosophizing though, but I will likely never pass the hobby basis. After a lot of deep thinking I have come to realize that I think too much.
