To Do, or Not To Do?

To do, or not to do? That's the question. Let's leave the Shakespearian inspiration behind, and look at the fundamentals of decision making.

People are assumed to be rational and of perfect knowledge. It's a good idea, but I am definitely neither. Let's assume most other people aren't either.

Science was held back centuries because of the belief in an all mighty God who controlled the universe. Today economics is held back because we can't accept the natural limitations in humans' will.

Like it or not, life is chemistry. And our brains too. Evolution created us, and our thoughts are the results of evolution. And then I'm talking about the constant evolution going on inside the head.

Free will is merely a tool to evade from the path of least resistance through pain. In the long run the will can indirectly change the path of least resistance. This is the essence of consciousness.

Evolution of species goes through the speed of natural selection. The mind evolves by the speed of light. Intelligence is the result of previous evolution. Smartness is the evolution in the present.

An action is how the intelligence and smartness decides between choices. The chemistry of the brain weights the options and the free will may over steer them through pain.

My models will be based on these thoughts in the future. Or, may not. It depends on evolution.
